Welcome to Oregon Star Party 2012! Early registration is now open and continues through July 20. Registration rates increase when early registration closes, so make sure to register early.

Plans are currently underway for the 25th annual Oregon Star Party, less than 100 days away. This year's star party takes place Tuesday, August 14, through Sunday, August 19. The committee has added an extra day in honor of OSP's Silver Anniversary, and we hope you'll join us in commemorating 25 years of a wonderful star party.

To celebrate OSP's birthday, the committee is planning a birthday party and all attendees are invited. We'll serve cake and ice cream, tell stories about OSP over the years, and invite attendees to share their memories as well. All registered attendees will receive a small gift, our way of saying thank you for so many years of wonderful star parties. In addition to our annual activities there will be a great speaker line-up, a binocular observing list, and other new events!

Oregon Star Party happens each year solely because of volunteer power: there are no paid positions at all. But this means that OSP can't happen without a lot of elbow grease and volunteer power. Interested in lending a hand? Check out the many volunteer opportunities on the Volunteer Page. You might want to take a shift as a Greeter, directing traffic or the coveted Shower Truck Ticket Taker position.

As so many of you already know, Indian Trail Spring is a wonderful site with 360 degree horizons, 5000 foot elevation, 40+ acres of space to accommodate any size vehicle or RV. And best of all, the darkest sky of any major star party in the continental United States.
